
HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KNX) – Scores of Los Angeles firefighters responded to a two-story building fire with excessive smoke in Hollywood Thursday afternoon, finding one person dead inside.

It's unclear how the two-story building caught on fire.
The flames began at about 5:55 p.m. in the 6600 block of Lexington Avenue.
It took 78 firefighters more than 50 minutes to extinguish the flames inside the concrete industrial building.
Two people reported problems breathing related to smoke exposure. Both patients were evaluated on scene and declined transport to the hospital.
Authorities said they found one person dead inside as firefighters searched the structure.
The cause of the fire and that person’s death are under investigation.
