A shooting involving the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in the Castaic area Friday left a person injured.
The shooting was reported about noon Friday near Sloan Canyon Road and Parker Road, according to the sheriff's department.

A person described only as a "suspect" was treated by paramedics for an unspecified injury, the sheriff's department reported. No deputies were injured.
Paramedics took a person to a hospital in unknown condition. The circumstances of the shooting were under investigation.
