1 killed in fiery crash on 90 freeway in Culver City

One man was killed in a fiery, two-vehicle crash when an SUV slammed into an electric pole after it was side swiped by a white pickup on the Marina (90) Freeway in Culver City authorities said Thursday.

California Highway Patrol officers responded at 11:26 p.m. Wednesday to the eastbound freeway and Slauson Avenue on-ramp where they found the victim and the vehicles with substantial body damage, CHP Officer Sean Lough told City News Service.

Culver City Fire Department personnel were called to the scene and pronounced the victim dead.
