Helicopters landed on the CA-241 Freeway after a crash involving a fire department vehicle injured 12 people.

The California Highway Patrol issued a 5-hour closure for the northbound lanes of the Freeway.
The crash happened at about 6:50 p.m. near the perimeter of the Airport Fire. Officers did not specify the condition of the injured.
At least three helicopters airlifted victims to a local hospital.
