Seventeen people were arrested after Garden Grove police shut down a coffee shop that they say was actually an illegal bikini cafe.
It happened at DD Café on McFadden Ave on Thursday. Sgt. Nick Jensen with the Garden Grove Police Department told KNX News’ Emily Valdez that investigators received a tip that there were “violations of public nudity going on inside the business.”
“Our investigators executed the search warrant, and there were 17 arrests made,” he said. “The Majority of them were for Garden Grove Municipal Code, nudity violations. I believe there were two that were like the managers or people in charge who were arrested for allowing this type of things to happen inside the business, and I believe there was one alcohol violation, meaning they found alcohol in a business that doesn't have a proper ABC license.”

A code enforcement team came out and red-tagged the building for several violations, which could include fire hazards and land use.
