IRVINE, Calif. (KNX) — Two men suspected of robbing employees at a Korean barbecue restaurant in Irvine have been arrested, police said Friday.
Suspects reportedly walked into All That Barbecue in the 15300 block of Culver Road with guns shortly after 11 a.m. on Jan. 19, about 20 minutes before the business was set to open for the day.
They demanded all employees move toward the bathroom. One took workers' wallets and cell phones, the other inspected the business’ cash registers and safe. All were empty, however, police said.
The suspects then left the restaurant through the rear door, carrying employees’ property.
Surveillance photos released by Irvine police showed the suspects donning sunglasses, black hoodies, and blue jeans. They were later identified as Allan Hoang, 28, of Monterey Park and Alanmichael Babauta, 25, of Westminster.
Hoang was arrested Thursday by Irvine police. Babauta was arrested by Huntington Beach police the day after the robbery while allegedly driving a stolen vehicle.
Hoang worked at the restaurant in 2017, police said.
Both suspects were booked into Orange County jail on suspicion of robbery, kidnapping, burglary, and false imprisonment, among other charges.
