
A 22-year-old man was behind bars Friday in connection with two commercial burglaries in the downtown Long Beach area and drug-related offenses.
Corey Swayney, of San Bernardino, was arrested Thursday near Fourth Street and Orange Avenue on suspicion of an outstanding warrant, commercial burglary and drug-related offenses, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
He was being held without bail, according to jail records.
Police said Swayney is suspected in commercial burglaries that occurred Oct. 13 in the 1900 block of East Broadway and on Monday in the unit block of Atlantic Avenue.
Swayney allegedly broke into the two businesses and stole property, police said. No details were released about the nature of the businesses of type of merchandise that was taken.
