Three people were arrested in Palm Springs on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, authorities said Tuesday.
Officers conducted a DUI checkpoint at the intersection of Ramon Road and Cerrito Drive from 7 p.m. to midnight Friday, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.

A total of 603 vehicles were screened, the department reported.
Three people were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and another person was arrested on an unspecified drug charged, authorities said.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes.
Funding for the checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
