An investigation was continuing Monday into the discovery of two dead bodies inside a vehicle in a Palm Springs and a third body nearby in what may have been a double-murder suicide.
Palm Springs Police Department personnel responded around 1:15 p.m. Sunday to a report of a gunshot victim in the area of North Indian Canyon Drive and Garnet Avenue.
After arriving, officers located a white sedan at the intersection with two dead males inside, according to a department statement. Another male was found dead from "self-inflicted injuries" near the Indian Canyon Drive overpass of the 10 Freeway, police said.
"There is no additional information leading us to believe there are outstanding suspect(s) and it appears that the two scenes are related," according to police.
The names of the three dead people have not been released.
