ANAHEIM, Calif. (KNX) — A driver and two passengers were taken into custody in Anaheim on Thursday afternoon after leading Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies on a chase over county lines.
L.A County authorities initiated pursuit of the driver in Lakewood, and pursued the vehicle into Orange County. Shortly before 12:30 p.m., the driver drove into a parking lot in Garden Grove to cut through traffic, then continued onto Anaheim surface streets.
Shortly after, the driver braked to a halt in another parking lot, where the vehicle was boxed in by L.A. County Sheriff's Department squad cars.
The driver and two passengers eventually got out of the car without incident and were taken into custody.
Authorities suspected the driver of being under the influence, but no further details surrounding the incident have been disclosed.
