All the cats and small dogs at Pasadena Humane from the Eaton Fire zone have been adopted or reunited with their owners, but eight large dogs are still waiting for their forever homes.

"It's especially heartbreaking for these guys because, you know, they've been through a whole lot already," shelter spokesperson Kevin McManus told KNX News' Emily Valdez. "So we're really anxious for them to be adopted,"

In addition to the eight furry friends ready to go, a husky who was seriously burned in the fire the team is calling 'Buddy' has almost recovered and needs a new forever home.

"If someone has a lot of patience and willingness to give this guy a really special home, knowing that [Buddy is] a really special dog who has kind of unique needs, he will be very soon," McManus said.

Anyone interested can meet the dogs in person at Pasadena Humane’s headquarters at 361 S. Raymond Ave.
