Anaheim police apprehend serial juvenile 'porch pirates'

ANAHEIM, Calif. (KNX) — Anaheim police revealed Friday they had recovered multiple packages stolen from multiple homes.

According to the Anaheim Police Department, an officer was able to track down a vehicle in which the suspects were riding, and apprehended two juveniles in the car. A total of 15 packages were recovered from inside the SUV.

The suspects identities are being withheld due to their minor status.

Packages were returned to those listed on shipping labels.

Area police recommend coordinating your package deliveries this holiday season to coincide with when you’ll be home to retrieve them, or utilize drop-off lockers like those offered by Amazon.

“If you plan on running out for a quick errand on your designated delivery date, look into an Amazon Hub locker or a hold at the post office,” advised LAPD Senior Lead Officer Jose Moreno.
