
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Tuesday for the 73rd time in the last 74 days, falling 1 cent to $4.819.
The average price has dropped $1.495 over the past 74 days, including four-tenths of a cent Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
It is 7.5 cents less than one week ago and 35.1 cents less than one month ago, but 19.6 cents more than one year ago. The average price has decreased $1.675 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped for the 40th time in 43 days, decreasing 1.1 cents to $4.654.
The Orange County average price is 7.1 cents less than one week ago and 36.4 cents lower than one month ago, but 14.8 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped $1.805 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the 72nd time in 75 days, falling 1.6 cents to $3.137. It is 9.2 cents less than one week ago, 23.2 cents lower than one month ago and 12.5 cents cheaper than one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.879 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
