
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Monday for the 52nd time in the last 53 days, decreasing seven-tenths of a cent to $5.084.
The average price has dropped $1.231 over the past 53 days, including 1.5 cents Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 8.3 cents less than one week ago, 54.7 cents lower than one month ago and 23.2 cents cheaper than one year ago. It has dropped $1.41 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped three-tenths of a cent to $4.934, a day after decreasing 1.6 cents. It is 8.4 cents less than one week ago, 51.1 cents lower than one month ago and 27.2 cents cheaper than one year ago. The Orange County average price has dropped $1.525 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the 53rd consecutive day, falling a half-cent to $3.308. It has dropped 52.7 cents over the past 53 days, including seven-tenths of a cent Sunday. It is 5.7 cents less than one week ago, 25 cents lower than one month ago and 36.3 cents cheaper than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.708 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
