On Tuesday, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass told KNX News’ Craig Fiegener that she disagreed with the decision made by the LA28 Olympic Committee’s Board of Executives to keep Casey Wasserman on as chair, echoing similar statements she made to CNN.

“Well, my opinion is that the board's decision to leave him on was not the best decision,” she said. “They made that decision, and I think the best decision would have been for him to step down. That decision was not made.”

When asked by Fiegener if she thinks Wasserman should resign, Bass repeated that the board’s decision was not the best.

In an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash on Monday, Bass said, “My opinion is that he should step down. That's not the opinion of the board.”

This comes a week after Bass told KNX News’ Alex Silverman that she did not have an opinion on Wasserman's resignation.
