“I’ve made the decision to enter the NBA Draft while maintaining my college eligibility, and will also be entering the NCAA transfer portal,” the 19-year-old shared in a post on Instagram.
James’ father Lebron spoke to reporters after the Lakers game Tuesday night about whether James was considering entering the draft, saying Bronny has “some tough decisions to make.”
“When he's ready to make those decisions, he'll let us all know. But as his family, we're going to support whatever he does,” James said.
Bronny played for the Trojans for 25 games during the 2023 – 2024 season.
On July 24, 2023, James was hospitalized after he went into cardiac arrest during basketball practice. In November, he was cleared by doctors for a "full return to basketball."
