Two brothers are set to be arraigned on robbery charges Wednesday for allegedly stealing a woman's purse during a violent attack in the parking lot of a Costco store in the City of Industry.
David Martin Morrison Jr., 38, and Andrew Morrison, 34, will be arraigned at the West Covina courthouse in connection with the case filed Tuesday against them, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
The two are each charged with one count of robbery.
Andrew Morrison is also charged with two counts of unauthorized use of personal identifying information, while a third defendant, Jake Raya, is charged with one count of unauthorized use of personal identifying information, according to the District Attorney's Office.
The robbery occurred at around 6:30 p.m. Nov. 26 outside the Costco in the 17500 block of Castleton Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Sheriff's officials said the victim tried to recover her purse and was punched repeatedly in the face while being dragged by the getaway vehicle, leaving her hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
The two brothers were arrested last Thursday in Diamond Bar, with sheriff's officials saying that detectives recovered evidence including personal property belonging to the victim.
David Morrison was being held in lieu of $500,000 bail, while Andrew Morrison's bail was set at $600,000, according to jail records.
Sheriff's officials said investigators were working to determine if the pair have been involved in any other recent robberies in the San Gabriel Valley area.
