Residents in a Studio City neighborhood are calling on the city to step in and clean up an abandoned property after a fire broke out there.
The fire happened Wednesday morning at the lot near Babcock Ave.
Neighbors say the property has been abandoned for years and been turned into a homeless encampment. Clint Ledsworth told KTLA that police put up a camera and no trespassing signs, but that doesn't stop people from showing up.
“It’s a recurring issue that happens over and over and over again,” he told the outlet.
Ledworth says they've called police, the city, the property owner, and their councilwoman, Nithya Raman, but nothing has been done.
