The Hawk Fire was reported shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday in the 35900 block of North Trenmar Drive, south of Ritter Ranch Park, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Some structures were threatened as the flames spread through medium brush. The department issued a third alarm, summoning additional air and ground resources to the scene.

One neighborhood was placed under an evacuation order, and others were given evacuation warnings.

A shelter-in-place order was issued for the area near Shannon Valley Road and Via Famero Drive.

By 8 p.m. Thursday, two evacuation warnings were in effect, with the orders downgraded or canceled, the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported.

A firefighter suffered a minor injury, the department reported. There were no reports of other injuries.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
