
LOS ANGELES (KNX) — Following a few days of record-setting winter heat, Southern California is facing a cold front that will bring showers, low temperatures, and even snow to some parts of the region.
Temperatures began to drop Monday, with coastal areas up to 25 degrees cooler than on Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
Tuesday brought even colder average temperatures, dropping 15 to 25 degrees across the area, alongside winds and a chance of precipitation.
In L.A. County, light rain was expected in the San Fernando Valley and along the coast, with temperatures expected to range from the 50s to 60s. Winds were forecasted to reach speeds of 20 to 35 miles per hour.

Mountain communities are expected to see up to two inches of snow, with temperatures in the 40s and rinds reaching up to 50 miles per hour.
Sunny, warmer conditions were forecasted to return to Southern California on Wednesday.
