A driver of a suspected stolen car was arrested in Sylmar after crashing into a brick wall following a short police chase, authorities said Tuesday.

The chase started around 11:30 p.m. Monday in a shopping parking lot at South Workman Street and Woodworth Street in San Fernando and came to an end after plowing into a wall at a home, according to the San Fernando Police Department.

Two passengers fled the scene, while a third passenger remained and was later released, police said.

The driver, who was not identified, was taken to a hospital for unknown injuries, according to police.

The brick wall prevented the car from crashing into the home.

No suspect descriptions were immediately available.
