The pop-up by the Eaton Renewal Project is for everyone impacted by the Eaton Fire, whether they lost everything or were only displaced from the fires temporarily.
Drew Koven with the L.A. Strong Foundation said that as the disaster recovery progresses, people’s needs are changing.
“In the beginning it was food and water and batteries and flashlights,” he told KNX News’ Nataly Tavidian. “And now it's what we call level two or level three items, which are, I'm moving back into a place and I need to decorate my home, I need bedding for my bed, or I need clothing.”
About 350 people have registered for each day of the relief event, which is reservation only. Click here to register.
“We have so many people coming. We definitely need people to help out this weekend, so please, please, please, if you're available, we would love to have you come by and help us,” Koven said.
If you’d like to volunteer, sign up here.
The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Friday, May 30 through Sunday, June 1 at 345 S Lake Ave #8 in Pasadena.
