Elton John announced the final dates for his “Elton John Farewell Yellow Brick Road: The Final Tour” on Wednesday.

Elton will conclude his award-winning tour at major stadiums in Europe and North America, including LA's Dodger Stadium.

The tours’ North American leg will kick off at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on July 15, 2022 before finishing the tour with back-to-back performances at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on November 19 and 20, 2022.

It will be a return to Dodger Stadium for John, who played two historic shows there in 1975. At the sold-out shows, John wore a LA Dodgers uniform covered in sequins that was designed by the legendary Bob Mackie.

Announcing the final dates of his tour on social media, John wrote, “The shows that I announce today will be my final tour dates ever in North America and Europe.”

“I’m going to go out in the biggest possible way, performing at my very best, with the most spectacular production I’ve ever had, playing in places that have meant so much to me throughout my career.”

Additional dates are in Chicago, Atlanta, Nashville and other major cities as John crosses the US one last time.

According to a Variety review the tour is “so packed with hits that he’d reeled off ‘Bennie and the Jets,’ ‘Tiny Dancer,’ ‘I Guess That’s Why They Call It the Blues,’ ‘Border Song’ and ‘Philadelphia Freedom’ in the first half hour — and he’d barely scraped the surface.”

John is one of the top-selling solo artists of all time, with 1 diamond, 38 platinum or multi-platinum and 26 gold albums. He has sold more than 300 million records worldwide.

Public ticket sales will begin on June 30 for the tour’s North American dates. American Express Card Members are eligible to purchase presale tickets beginning June 23.
