One day after an ICE raid at a cannabis farm in Camarillo, people showed up on Friday morning to take home family members who were hiding at the farm during the raid.

Jennifer was one of those who showed up. She told KNX News’ Jon Baird she thought her uncle was probably in ICE custody or already in Mexico, but he called her to let her know he was still inside the farm.

“It was the best feeling ever,” she said. “I can't even explain it. I was just so happy to have him home.”

Meanwhile, there were others still waiting for an update on their loved ones.

“We don't know,” one woman said. “We lost communication with them.”

Another woman told Baird her brother-in-law fell while running from ICE agents and was gravely injured. She said he will be taken off life support on Friday.

Baird reported that several workers rushed out the gate after hiding out, and some said they’re not coming back to work at the cannabis plant.

Tensions rose between ICE agents and protestors on Thursday. According to KCAL News, protestors stayed in the area for hours.

In a post on X, U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli wrote that federal agents were executing a search warrant at the farm and that multiple people were arrested. He also announced that the FBI issued a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of someone who “appeared to fire a pistol at Federal Law Enforcement Officers.”
