Firefighters worked Monday morning to keep flames that engulfed a detached shed from spreading to a nearby apartment building in the Pico-Union area of Los Angeles.

The fire was reported at 2:13 a.m. at 2255 W. 14th St., said the Los Angeles Fire Department's Nicholas Prange.

The 32 firefighters assigned to the blaze put out the flames in 23 minutes and kept them away from a three-story apartment building nearby, Prange said.

No injuries were reported, he said.
