Since retiring from the NFL for a second time, multiple world champion tight end Rob Gronkowski has continued to add to his resume as an entertainer, picking up where he left off after his first retirement.
The first time around, he appeared on Fox’s The Masked Singer and became a pro wrestling champion in WWE. Now the player-turned analyst is taking over as the host of the upcoming LA Bowl.
The hosting post was previously manned by late-night host Jimmy Kimmel.
But Gronkowski won’t just be the ringmaster of the festivities, he plans to show off his singing voice again, though this time he won’t be dressed as a giant white tiger.
Gronkowski announced he’ll be singing the national anthem at the game.
And while Gronk’s singing voice on Fox’s competitive singing program was rooted more in enthusiasm than talent, rest assured he won’t be going solo on The Star-Spangled Banner: He’ll be backed up by the New Directions Veterans Choir.
Gronkowski also said he would be dancing during the broadcast. We’ll see if he’s as light on his feet in dancing shoes as he was in football cleats.
