Los Angeles County health officials are investigating a case of hepatitis A in an employee of a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Monterey Park, but no additional cases have been identified.
Based on the worker's schedule and display of symptoms at work, health officials urged anyone who consumed food or beverages at the restaurant at 4000 Market Place between Nov. 13 and Nov. 22 to receive a hepatitis A vaccine if they are not already immune.

Patrons were also urged to monitor themselves for symptoms such as fever, weakness, fatigue, nausea, loss of appetite, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), stomach pain, vomiting, dark urine, pale stools, and diarrhea.
"Although rare, hepatitis A can cause death in some people," according to the county Department of Public Health. "Hepatitis A usually spreads when a person unknowingly ingests the virus from objects, food, or drinks contaminated by small, undetected amounts of stool from an infected person."
Health officials said receiving a vaccination as quickly as possible after exposure -- ideally within 14 days -- can reduce the risk of becoming infected. People who think they may have been exposed should contact a local pharmacy or their health care provider.
The Department of Public Health is working with the restaurant to ensure employees are vaccinated, according to the agency.
