The historic Tower Theatre in downtown Los Angeles has been given a new lease on life as Apple’s latest store.

Originally designed in 1927, the Tower Theatre store anchors the corner of 8th and Broadway.

It marks Apple’s 26th location in greater Los Angeles and the company’s most significant restoration project to date.

This man lives in the area and stopped by to see it with his own eyes.

"Oh I just think it's really nice. It's the nicest Apple store I've been in. I live a couple of blocks south of here and I just think awesome they invested in our neighborhood. Our neighborhood has needed this," he told KNX reporter Margaret Carrero.

There have been reports that Apple is dropping its mask requirement for store employees.

KNX 1070 reporter Margaret Carrero was told the store’s mask policy is no masks for those vaccinated, customers and staff, and it’s on the honor system.
