Interactive map shows perimeters, evacuation zones for L.A. fires

The California Department of Department of Forestry and Fire Prevention released an interactive 3D map of the multiple wildfires raging in Los Angeles County.

The map shows the perimeters of the Palisades, Eaton, Hurst, Kenneth, and Archer Fires, along with evacuation orders and warnings.

As of Saturday morning, the Palisades Fire had scorched 22,660 acres and destroyed at least 5,316 structures. The fire moved northeast overnight to threaten homes in Encino and Brentwood.

Containment of the Eaton Fire in Altadena and Pasadena grew to 15% on Saturday, with the fire burning 14,117 acres. At least six people have been reported dead in the Eaton Fire, and five are dead in the Palisades FIre.

The Kenneth Fire, which erupted in the West Hills area on Thursday afternoon, was halted by Saturday morning after burning 1,052 acres in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. It was 80% contained.

The Hurst Fire in Sylmar was at 76% containment on Saturday morning. Evacuation orders were llifted on Thursday. The fire has burned 799 acres, and no structural damage has been reported.

The Archer Fire prompted a brief evacuation order in Granada Hills on Friday, but all evacuation orders and warnings were lifted by afternoon. Firefighters halted the blaze at 31 acres.
