Serving others is a way of life for our KNX "Helpful Honda" Hero of the Week!
KellyAnn Romanych has spent her entire life surrounded by family members who serve! "I am the wife, and daughter, and niece of some incredible veterans!"
KellyAnn says she's connected to nearly every branch of the military, “with the exception of the Coast Guard. So, I have an affinity for all of the branches!"
KellyAnn's journey of service pointed to that of a peace officer, working as a Senior Park Ranger for the City of Los Angeles. Her list of accomplishments is long, and she's been recognized numerous times for her leadership. But, that's just scratching the surface.

Teaching has also been a big passion for KellyAnn. "I've always, somehow, been connected to teaching," explains the married mother of three boys. "When I was with the Rangers, I did training. When I came out and was focusing on my family, I was a substitute teacher. And [teaching] still continues now, in my non-profit life!"
After spending some time as a volunteer, KellyAnn is now the Deputy Executive Director of Veterans Legal Institute, helping vets overcome some of their biggest challenges.
"For me, it truly goes back to the ideal of compassion," says KellyAnn. "It's such an honor and a privilege, to be able to be 'present' with someone, at one of their darkest times. So, they can feel like they have some ground under their feet, and they can lift their heads up."
Former KNX Hero Antoinette Balta says KellyAnn is a very special person. "She really is, it’s hard to put it into words! KellyAnn is a woman's woman. She's inspiring, she leads by her service! She leads with her actions. She's incredibly bright and cheerful. She's always open to help. She has truly committed her life to service, and for that reason, I think KellyAnn is an everyday hero!
