Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass returned to L.A. on Sunday from Paris, but the three councilmembers that went with her didn’t.

The three council members – Paul Krekorian, Katy Yaroslavsky and Traci Park – broke off on their own trip to Japan and are set to return on Thursday.  KNX News’ Craig Fiegener spoke to Park before the group left for Paris last week.

“Council president Krikorian, Councilwoman Yaroslavsky and I will continue from Paris on to Tokyo on a trade mission where we will be looking at green hydrogen and shipping out of the ports and transportation,” she said. “My interaction with our international partners is a huge component of the job.”

The trip to Paris was focused on how Paris is preparing for the 2024 Olympics. It was a fact-finding mission to help L.A. prepare for the 2028 Olympics.
