Did you know you can get a ticket to the Hollywood Bowl for just $1? Most Angelenos don’t – and the L.A. County Board of Supervisors wants to change that.
The board backed a motion yesterday calling for more promotion to spread the word about the $1 tickets, which are available for L.A. Philharmonic performances on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights all summer.
Supervisor Katherine Barger, who introduced the motion, told KNX News’ Karen Adams that the tickets have always been around, but people just don’t know about them.
“When they hear the word Hollywood Bowl, they automatically assume that I couldn't afford to go and experience an incredible venue like that,” Barger said.

She added that with the recently expanded park-and-ride shuttle service, which is as available for as low as $7 per person, a concert at the Bowl is very affordable.
