LOS ANGELES (KNX) — A 15-year-old girl was reported to be in critical condition after being shot in the face in South Los Angeles. Authorities have not yet located the suspected shooter.
The girl was exiting the back seat of a vehicle at 41st Street and Ascot Avenue on Wednesday when another car pulled up and one of the occupants opened fire, according to L.A. police.
The shooter drove off and the victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Investigators did not believe the teen was the intended target of the shooting.
No arrests were made as of Thursday morning and a suspect description was not available.
