LOS ANGELES (KNX) — Los Angeles police were engaged in a standoff with a suspect believed to be armed in barricaded inside a vehicle in a Hollywood parking lot Wednesday.
Officers and paramedics responded to a call in the 1600 block of Schrader Boulevard at around 8:30 a.m. of a man with a gun inside a car, according to the LAPD.
Streets in the area were closed off, including Hollywood Boulevard between Cherokee and Wilcox avenues, according to the L.A. Fire Department.
A SWAT team was sent to the scene, with the standoff reported to be in progress as of 11 a.m.
