Authorities sought the public's assistance Wednesday in locating a 27-year-old man with an unspecified intellectual disorder who requires mediation and was last seen in the unincorporated Florence-Firestone area near South Los Angeles.

Ivan Sanchez was last seen around 9:10 a.m. Wednesday in the 8600 block of Juniper Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies described Sanchez as a 5-foot-6-inch tall Hispanic man with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black and gray sweater, tan sweatpants, and black Vans shoes.
