Long Beach police searching for missing developmentally disabled man

LONG BEACH, Calif. (CNS) — Police asked for the public's help Thursday to find a developmentally disabled 46-year-old man who went missing Wednesday in Long Beach.

David Alejandro Quiroz was last seen at his care facility in the 1000 block of Walnut Avenue around 12:45 p.m., according to Long Beach police.

Quiroz suffers from a variety of medical conditions and may easily become disoriented. He left the facility on foot and is familiar with mass transit systems. He is said to frequent convenience stores. Quiroz may also exhibit childlike behavior with temper tantrums, police said.

Quiroz is Latino. He stands 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 245 pounds, police said. His hair is black and eyes are brown. He was last seen wearing a light-beige shirt, blue pants and white shoes.
