A male victim was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in Gardena and later died from his wounds at a hospital, authorities said Tuesday.
The shooting was reported at 10:13 p.m. Monday in the 14100 block of Purche Avenue, according to a statement issued by the Gardena Police Department.

The victim was unconscious when officers arrived and Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics attempted to save him while taking him to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, police said. The victim died at the hospital. His identity was withheld pending positive identification and notification of relatives.
A possible motive for the shooting was not disclosed.
