A 28-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly making online threats against Metro rail crew members.
An anonymous email sent on Feb. 20 contained a threat claiming that workers would be "shot" at the site of a rail expansion project in Lawndale, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Transit Services Bureau.

Investigators identified Daniel Doyle Scallion as the suspect and arrested him around 4 a.m. Wednesday, sheriff's officials said.
Scallion was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
