
Police arrested a man accused of robbing a Chinatown store and assaulting an employee in September.
Courtland Thorton, 31, was arrested in connection to the Sept. 14 robbery at Angies Boutique, the Los Angeles Police Department said. Detective Huy Nguyen he was arrested with the help of U.S. Marshalls.
Surveillance footage showed the suspect “assaulted an employee and removed property from behind the counter,” according to a press release by the department.
The employee was hospitalized for injuries sustained.
Detective Nguyen told KNX News’ Emily Valdez Thorton might be linked to other crimes.
“We discovered that Thornton was identified and linked to six additional robberies and an assault in the city of Los Angeles, as well as an additional robbery in the city of Calabasas,” he said.
