
A 26-year-old man was behind bars Monday on suspicion of driving under the influence in a crash that killed a pedestrian in Orange.

Bryan Reyes of Santa Ana was booked on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, according to Lt. Phil McMullin of the Orange Police Department. The victim's name was not immediately available.
The collision occurred just before 8 p.m. Sunday at La Veta Avenue and Devon Road, McMullin said.
Reyes was driving east on La Veta when his car struck the victim who was walking south across the street outside of a marked crosswalk, McMullin said.
