A man charged with sexually assaulting two unconscious people is out free on $175,000 bail, and detectives believe there are a lot more victims out there.
Jean Junior Dar, who also goes by the name Jean-Que, is charged with two counts related to sexual assault while the victims were unconscious. LAPD special assault detective Brent Hopkins told KNX News’ Emily Valdez he targeted straight men in bars in the Venice and Santa Monica areas.
“I think one of the reasons why the victims feel comfortable in this is that he's preying upon men, but isn't representing himself as being interested in them sexually when they're talking,” he said. “So they're going to this guy's apartment, not thinking like, ‘oh, hey, we might hook up.’”
Hopkins said Dar would tell his victims that he was a successful attorney and would invite them to parties for his supposed clients in the entertainment industry.

“He suggests that they drop by his place first for a drink to get ready, to deal with all the exciting celebrity action that they're going to be soon witnessing,” he said. “And then they report very quickly after they have that drink at his house, passing out, then waking up with no memory of what happened, but feeling that they were sexually have been sexually assaulted.”
Hopkins says forensic tests show they were. Detectives believe there are a lot more victims out there.
