A man was fatally shot in Torrance and police Thursday are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Officers at the Torrance Police Department received a shots fired call in the 23000 block of Huber Avenue and Sepulveda Boulevard at 8:58 p.m. Wednesday. When they arrived, officers found spent casings and the victim, who was suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the police department.
Torrance Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene and pronounced the victim dead.
His name and age were not released.
The man's family members told CBS2 the shooting occurred during a pool party where the end of college was being celebrated.
The investigation is ongoing, police said. Witnesses with information regarding the shooting are asked to contact Torrance police at 310-328-3456.
