
An armed suspect was taken into custody Tuesday after holing up for about five-and-a-half hours inside a car wash in Industry.
"We introduced gas and he came out," a watch commander at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's' Department's Industry station told City News Service, adding that the suspect was arrested at about 12:35 p.m.
The incident was first reported at about 7:05 a.m. in the 15500 block of Valley Boulevard, where a sheriff's Crisis Negotiation Team was sent to the scene.
The suspect was wanted for alleged armed assault with a deadly weapon.
Sheriff's officials urged anyone with information about the suspect to call them at 626-330-3322. Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
No other information was immediately available.
