LOS ANGELES (KNX) – Los Angeles police are investigating a hit-and-run that left a man dead in Boyle Heights Saturday.

It happened in the area of Whittier Boulevard and Esperanza Street after 10 p.m.


The man was walking in the crosswalk on Esperanza when a Ford Fusion hit him, according to City News Service.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene. His identity has not been revealed.

Details on the Ford Fusion are limited as the car fled after the hit.
