Police Wednesday are investigating the fatal shooting of a 35- to 40-year old man in the Hyde Park area that they say is gang- related.
Los Angeles Police Department officers from the department's 77th Division were called to 63rd St. and Crenshaw Boulevard around 9:34 p.m Tuesday regarding a fight between several people. During the altercations, the victim entered the apartment of the suspect, a 22-year-old man, who shot the victim, an LAPD spokeswoman told City News Service.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The shooter was taken into custody at the scene, police said.
LAPD's South Bureau is investigating the shooting.
