A man was shot and killed in East Hollywood early Friday.

Los Angeles Police Department officers from the Olympic Division responded at 2 a.m. Friday to a shots fired call at 4204 Beverly Blvd., near Normandie Avenue. When they arrived, the officers found the victim lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head, according to reports from the scene.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
The LAPD's West Homicide Bureau will be in charge of the investigation of the fatal shooting.
