LONG BEACH, Calif. (KNX) — A 31-year-old Signal Hill man was fatally wounded in a shooting while sitting in his car Wednesday in Long Beach.
Police said the shooting was reported at 6:34 p.m. in the area of Atlantic Avenue and Esther Street.

Responding officers found the victim, identified by police as Nashon Wall, unresponsive lying in the road next to his vehicle. Officers began life-saving measures on Wall before paramedics took him to a nearby hospital, where he died.
Detectives learned Wall was approached by multiple males, at least one of whom shot Wall as he sat in his vehicle, police said.
The suspects quickly ran away from the area into a nearby apartment complex, police added.
The Long Beach Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics team responded and served a search warrant at a nearby apartment and collected firearm evidence, which will be analyzed and reviewed to determine if it is connected to Wall’s murder, however, no arrests were made.
The motive for the shooting and any possible relationship between Wall and the suspects was under investigation.
Anyone with information regarding the shooting was urged to contact detectives Donald Collier or Leticia Gamboa at (562) 570-7244.
