Officials say James Howard Jackson, 19, was “erroneously” released from custody in April following a clerical error. He was previously arrested for the February 2021 attempted murder of 40-year-old Ryan Fischer, who was walking three French bulldogs belonging to Lady Gaga.

In addition to Jackson, Jaylin White, 19 and Lafayette Whaley, 27 were arrested and charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit robbery and second-degree robbery.

The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department Major Crime Team has requested the U.S. Marshals Service's assistance to find and arrest Jackson, officials said.

Jackson is described by law enforcement as “a black male, 5’6, with black hair and brown eyes.” Officials said he should considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with any information was urged to call their local law enforcement organization, or submit via the USMS Tips app.
