L.A. Mayor Karen Bass confirmed in an interview with KNX News Wednesday that the 2027 Super Bowl will be held at Sofi Stadium.

This adds to the list of major sports events that L.A. will host in the next few years. The 2026 World Cup, 2028 Olympics and Paralympics will all be hosted by the city.

“That means we have to get our act together, get folks housed, because the world is going to be here, and we need to use this as a catalyst to get the job done,” Bass told KNX News.

She also congratulated Inglewood Mayor James Butts because the game will be played at Sofi Stadium. Bass said the Super Bowl will be a boost for the local economy.

“People come here before, they spend a week, they spend a lot of money and that's what we need to have happen,” she said.

The Super Bowl was last held at Sofi Stadium in 2022.
