Chevrolet Camaro thefts are on the rise across Los Angeles, according to the LAPD.

90 Camaros have been reported stolen this year.

"We quite often find them where they're actually turning around and posting them on social media to sell them," LAPD Sergeant Arnold Castellanos told KCAL News. "A 40, 50, 60 thousand dollar car they're selling for $3,000."

They said more Camaros are being used at illegal street takeovers, which is where LAPD found some of these stolen cars.

Castellanos recommended that people take extra security measures like some kind of kill switch or installing a second type of GPS tracker, like a LoJack. He said those products can help police locate stolen cars.
